The V5 speaker is the most compact member of the V Series. Typical applications are small locations where an optically unobtrusive sound system is required. The housing consists of 9 mm multiplex and is coated with scratch-resistant textured paint. Due to the asymmetrical shape of the housing, the loudspeaker can also be used as a stage monitor.
The M6 threads on the back allow the installation of a wall or ceiling mount. Corresponding Concert Audio accessories are available for using the speaker in a flight or on a tripod. A 1" high-frequency driver on a rotatable 90x60 degree horn and a 5" mid-bass driver are used as acoustic converters.
The individual systems are coupled via a passive crossover. The overall system has an even frequency response and even phase response. The speakers are protected by a front grille with fabric covering. The Concert Audio® VB subwoofers serve as a supplement in the bass range. These are actively coupled by modern digital power amplifiers and specially adapted presets. A standard amplifier is sufficient for operation without a subwoofer.

tender text
The loudspeaker system should combine excellent audio data and the highest quality workmanship with economical pricing. It should be possible to transmit music and speech signals with high sound pressure and a clearly defined beam angle in hi-fi audio quality.
The housing, coated with scratch-resistant textured paint, is designed according to the bass reflex principle from 9 mm multiplex and is designed asymmetrically. The system should also be able to be used as a stage monitor. Two recessed M6 threads should allow the attachment of flight accessories and speaker stand adapters. For optical and functional reasons, the housing should not have a visible recessed grip.
A 1" high-frequency driver on a rotatable 90 x 60 degree horn and a 5" mid-bass driver are to be used as acoustic converters. The individual systems are optimally coupled with each other acoustically via the internal passive crossover, which is supposed to have phase and frequency response correction.
The overall system should therefore have a very flat frequency response and even phase progression without jumps. All frequencies should be transmitted with an almost identical level and even runtime. A standard amplifier should suffice for operation. Special system controllers or processors should not be necessary. The loudspeakers should be protected mechanically by a removable round perforated grille, which is covered with acoustic fabric.
Optional subwoofer systems, which can be actively coupled, should be available to expand the bass reproduction. The active coupling should take place with a digital DSP power amplifier with factory presets tuned by the loudspeaker manufacturer, which can provide the crossover function, peak and RMS limiter, all-pass filter, delay and equalizer circuits for fine equalization.
